Tottenham Hotspur lost 2-1 to Aston Villa on Wednesday evening – and that meant John Terry was in celebratory mood.
Spurs did take the lead through Steven Bergwijn, but an own goal from Sergio Reguilon and a winner from Ollie Watkins secured all three points for Villa.
Dean Smith’s side were better throughout and deserved their win, with Tottenham offering very little even after going behind.
Tottenham fans attempted to wind up Aston Villa coach Terry by chanting about how Spurs legend Ledley King was a better player than Terry.
According to the Daily Star, Chelsea hero Terry responded by holding an imaginary trophy a lot, making reference to the number of trophies he won compared to Spurs and King.
Spurs have won one trophy since the turn of the millennium, which King was a part of. Terry, on the other hand, won five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three League Cups, a Champions League and a Europa League.

As if that wasn’t enough, Terry has now taken to Instagram to celebrate the win, and couldn’t resist another couple of jabs at Tottenham.
Terry admitted that he ‘enjoyed that one’, before destroying Spurs by saying ‘new stadium, same old story’ as he beat Tottenham again, this time in their new home rather than back at the old White Hart Lane.
