Gary Neville has reacted with joy after Liverpool were beaten by Burnley in Premier League action last night.
Liverpool lost their unbeaten home record as Sean Dyche’s men came to Anfield an upset the odds.
A penalty from Ashley Barnes proved to be the difference between the two sides, as Liverpool’s woeful run of form continued.
And Neville couldn’t resist having a dig at Liverpool, with Jurgen Klopp’s side place in the top four now looking uncertain.
Neville was not the only ex-player to enjoy Liverpool’s defeat last night.
John Terry also was pleased about Liverpool’s loss, as it meant that they could no longer break Chelsea’s unbeaten home record.
Liverpool do currently sit in the Champions League spots, but missing out on Europe’s top competition next season is now starting to look a real possibility, unless they can arrest their slump in form quickly.
The Reds have now failed to score in their last four Premier League games, and they have really struggled to break down defences.
Klopp’s side, who were once so dangerous, currently look well off the pace going forward and they don’t have the same defensive solidity as usual, with so many injuries to key players.
Liverpool can now be caught by the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Everton, who are currently behind them but have games in hand.
