Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers reportedly want John Souttar of Hearts.

According to The Express, Rangers are interested in signing Souttar from Scottish Premiership rivals Heart of Midlothian in the summer transfer widnow.
It has been reported that Rangers director of football Mark Allen has identified the 22-year-old centre-back as a priority signing for the Ibrox club this summer.
Souttar, though, has said that he is not aware of interest in him from Rangers.
Following Hearts’ win against Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Cup semi-finals on Saturday afternoon, the defender told The Sunday Post regarding reported interest from Rangers: “I didn’t see it. I don’t tend to look at my phone on match days and it’s the first I’ve heard of it.”

Good signing for Rangers?
Souttar is a very good and promising young centre-back who has been a success at Hearts so far and has progressed well.
Rangers could do with signing a new central defender in the summer transfer window, as Joe Worrall is only on loan from Nottingham Forest in the Championship in England until the end of the season.
Given that Souttar is just 22 years of age, Rangers manager Gerrard can make him better and help him improve.
Hearts are a big club in Scotland, and having been a success there, Souttar should not have any problem in wearing the shirt of Rangers and playing under pressure at Ibrox.
