Wolverhampton Wanderers have been hugely impressive this season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper John Ruddy has claimed that the team’s togetherness is vital in their quest to earn promotion.
It has been a hugely impressive season so far for Nuno Espirito Santo’s team, who are four points clear at the top of the Championship.
Wolves thrashed Bolton Wanderers 5-1 on Saturday and Ruddy was left delighted with the spirit shown by his team-mates.
Ruddy told the club’s official website: “It’s easy for people to look at us and think that we have the money to spend, but you also need togetherness and team spirit – you can’t buy that, but we have it.

“For the majority of goals we’ve scored this season, you’ve seen ten players celebrating together. It’s a bit far for me to go, so I don’t make the trip very often, but you can see the togetherness. Not just in the celebrations either, but in the way we’re playing – everyone knows their job, everyone is working together, and everyone knows what we have to do as a team.”
If they continue to play in such a manner then Wolves certainly have a very good chance of earning promotion to the top tier, perhaps even as champions.

Nuno has certainly managed to get his team performing cohesively as a unit this campaign, with Leo Bonatini prolific in front of goal, while wing-backs Matt Doherty and Barry Douglas have pushed forward to excellent effect and Wolves have also been resolute defensively.
The important factor for Wolves now will be for them to continue to perform consistently, as opponents will surely be even more determined to beat them given their status as league leaders.
Wolves return to action in a week’s time, when they travel to face Birmingham City.
