Everton-owned Tyias Browning has joined Sunderland on a season-long loan deal in the summer transfer window.
Browning, who can operate as a central defender or as a right-back, has joined Championship club Sunderland on a season-long loan deal from Premier League side Everton in the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old is a very talented and promising young defender, and he will be determined to be a success for the Black Cats this season.
O’Shea, who is 36 years of age and can play as a defender or as a defensive midfielder, has spoken highly of the former England Under-20 international.

“Fingers crossed, he’ll be a big player for us,” O’Shea told The Sunderland Echo about Browning.
“You can see not just the strength and power but also the ability he has as well. You see him in training and think ‘if he can stay fit then he’ll be a big player for us’.”

Sunderland got relegated from the Premier League to the Championship at the end of last season.
The Black Cats will be aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship during the 2017-18 campaign.
Simon Grayson’s side will kick off their 2017-18 Championship campaign with a match against Derby County at the Stadium of Light this evening.
