Moyes is yet to secure a league win as Sunderland manager since taking charge this summer.
Sunderland’s John O’Shea
Sunderland defender John O’Shea has admitted to the Chronicle that they are still adapting to David Moyes’ methods.
The former Everton and Manchester United manager took charge of the club earlier in the summer after Sam Allardyce was handed the England job.
It has proved to be an unhappy start to life in the North East as they have gone without a win in their first seven games of the season to leave them sitting bottom of the Premier League table.

It has not been an easy transition from the previous regime and O’Shea admits they are still adapting to their new manager.
“He’s brought new bodies in (signing 10 players), and you’ve got to get used to different team-mates and different tactics, different ideas,” he told the Chronicle.
“This manager is bringing in his own ideas, more control, midfielders controlling the game a bit more. Slowly and surely we’re doing that but not enough yet.”

Moyes will certainly be praying that Sunderland adapt to his methods sooner rather than later.
They are already two points from safety at this stage but that gap could easily extend beyond their reach should they continue to perform how they have for much longer.
Chief among their thoughts should be fixing the defence, with that area of the team having been the major failing of his reign so far.
If he can fix that, as he did during his time at Everton, then it is easy to imagine them starting to pick up the points they need to recover from this poor start.
