Manchester United reportedly want Aston Villa’s John McGinn.

Hibernian midfielder Scott Allan has told PLZ Soccer that it would be ‘brilliant’ to see Aston Villa star John McGinn join Manchester United.
McGinn, 24, left Hibernian to join Villa in the summer of 2018, as Steve Bruce fended off interest from Celtic to bring the midfielder to Villa Park.
The Scot played a key role in Villa’s promotion last season, notching nine goals and 12 assists to secure a place in the Premier League.
McGinn has made the step up seamlessly, as he has already bagged three goals and one assist, whilst producing a number of all-action displays.
Unsurprisingly, McGinn is attracting major interest ahead of the January transfer window, especially having bagged a hat-trick for Scotland against San Marino just days ago.
ESPN claim that Manchester United are interested in McGinn, and whilst they would like a January move, they may have to delay a bid until the summer.

Villa will be fighting to keep hold of McGinn, but his pal and former Hibernian teammate Allan has admitted he thinks a move to Old Trafford would be ‘brilliant’.
Allan, who played in midfield with Allan at Hibs, has suggested there is no reason why McGinn can’t go and be a success at United, believing e has the quality to match his work ethic.
“That would be brilliant, I don’t see why not,” said Allan. “He’s just a player that fans get endeared to because of the work ethic, but he’s got the quality, too. Everyone’s seeing that now, and it’ll maybe give people down south a look at the Scottish league and see that we do have quality up here,” he added.
