Andy Robertson joined Liverpool this summer from Hull City.

Hibs midfielder John McGinn has showered heaps of praise on Liverpool’s summer signing Andy Robertson, saying that the left-back is a role model for young Scottish players.
The 23-year-old defender completed a glamour move to Liverpool from Hull City this summer, and has duly impressed for both club and country.
Robertson scored a superb goal from the edge of the box in Scotland’s 3-0 World Cup Qualifying win over Lithuania on Friday night.

Stuart Armstrong and James McArthur scored the other two goals for Scotland, and kept the country’s hopes alive for qualification.
McGinn, who came on as a substitute for Armstrong in that match, has praised Robertson, who is going through a purple patch in his life.
The 22-year-old said that Robertson is a ‘real role model’ for young players like him who are looking to establish themselves in the national team.

He adds that the 23-year-old defender has made the left-back role his own, and that he got to move to a top European club, speaks volume of his progress.
“He has signed with Liverpool and had a kid last week so to score again was brilliant for him,” the Hibernian playmaker told BBC Radio Scotland (h/t The Scotsman).
“He is a real role model for everyone, especially people like me who are coming up and trying to get into the team. He has made the left-back position his own and got a move to a top European club so fair play to him and I hope it continues.”
