Celtic are hunting a new manager, and a number of names have been touted for moves to Parkhead in the near future.
Neil Lennon handed in his resignation last month, leaving Celtic to try and find a successor for the long term.
One name suggested by pundits is Steve Clarke, who is currently in charge of Scotland and is preparing for the European Championships having guided his country to their first major tournament since 1998.
The Scottish Sun claim that Clarke is indeed on Celtic’s radar, joining David Moyes and Eddie Howe in the running for the job.
Clarke has not only excelled in charge of Scotland, but he also did a great job with Kilmarnock too, guiding them into Europe.
Now, Scotland international and former Celtic target John McGinn has offered his take on the rumours, claiming to Go Sport Radio that he is ‘not surprised’ in any way.
McGinn feels that Clarke did a ‘brilliant job’ at Kilmarnock, and has proven that he is a brilliant manager – one befitting of Celtic.

McGinn added that he hopes the Scottish FA can keep hold of Sinclair for a while yet, but it’s clear that he thinks Clarke deserves to be eyed for big jobs.
“First and foremost, I’m not surprised he’s been connected and linked with the job,” said McGinn. “He’s a brilliant manager and says it how it is. He’s obviously been with the top clubs across England and up here.”
“He did a brilliant job with Kilmarnock and as a team it was probably slow initially as to how we had set up under him, but the more and more we got used to how it worked and the style of play it certainly has benefitted us going forward. The success is really a platform and he is as hungry as us players to go and carry that on, so it’s nice to hear that there is going to be a bit of continuity (for the Euros) if someone is going to nab him but hopefully the SFA can keep him for a while yet,” he added.
