The Aston Villa midfielders were singled out for praise by Minnesota United head coach Adrian Heath.

Dean Smith utilised 22 players across the two halves as the Villans continue to build their fitness levels ahead of their return to the English Premier League.
The match was won confidently by a 3-0 margin, with Grealish in amongst the goals alongside Henri Lansbury and Birkir Bjarnason.
Heath is a former player at Villa Park, spending a short spell at the club in the 1989/90 season towards the end of his playing career.
Now a head coach in Major League Soccer, he was left impressed by the players Smith has at his disposal, but picked out two of last season’s stars as the top performers.
As quoted by The Birmingham Mail he said: “I like the midfield guys, McGinn and obviously Jack has got great quality and showed that with a little drop of his shoulder with a good goal.
They’ve got a lot of pace now and guys still to come in so I’m sure they’re going to be competitive.”
Grealish and McGinn are going to be absolutely vital to Villa if they’re to retain their top-flight status so it should be pleasing for fans to hear they are already looking sharp in pre-season.

McGinn, who arrived from Scottish Premiership side Hibernian last summer, had a meteoric rise in the Championship, earning club player of the season awards and producing 17 direct goal contributions on the side’s way to promotion.
Fan favourite Grealish meanwhile is often capable of special match-winning moments, as he demonstrated in the Minnesota United fixture on Wednesday.
Stepping up to the Premier League isn’t going to be easy, but Villa have talent and if they can add even more quality to the squad before the end of the transfer window they’ll be set to compete fiercely.
