John McGinn joined Aston Villa this summer and has taken little time to establish himself as a brilliant signing for the club.

It appears that Aston Villa fans could potentially expect an incredibly busy week on the transfer front, with the Express and Star reporting that Steve Bruce hopes to bring in Yannick Bolasie and Tammy Abraham on loan after getting a deal done for Anwar El Ghazi ahead of their draw with Brentford on Wednesday.

Should they manage to get all three deals across the line, it would undoubtedly be a tremendous statement of intent from a Villa side that have had to play catch up for much of the summer.

But while all three deals would be superb if they managed it, perhaps it would be fair to suggest that none stand much of a chance of looking better pieces of business than the £2.75 million deal that saw John McGinn arrive from Hibernian – fee reported by The Scottish Sun.

There may have been some concerns following McGinn’s arrival. Villa’s midfield is well stocked and the 23-year-old arrived with no Championship experience. However, the early signs suggest that the move could prove to be one of the best bargains that Villa have done for a long time.

McGinn already has two assists for the season and has been superb in the middle of the park for the Villans, often pulling the strings with his passing and composure on the ball.

El Ghazi is an exciting signing, and it would be difficult to find a Championship side that does not envy Villa if they manage to also bring in Bolasie and Abraham, but there is no question that the deal for McGinn is already looking like a masterstroke and the newbies will do extremely well to take signing of the summer away from the Scotland international.
