Brendan Rodgers added five new players to his squad this summer.
Celtic coach John Kennedy
Celtic first team coach John Kennedy has told the club’s official website that their signings this summer have taken them to another level.
The Scottish champions were busy in the summer transfer window as new manager Brendan Rodgers looked to improve the squad he inherited from Ronny Deila.
He ended up improving his options across the park with five new signings, as a new goalkeeper, two defenders and two forwards all moved to Celtic Park.

Their biggest signing was arguably Scott Sinclair from Aston Villa, while Kolo Toure was another notable capture.
Most have been impressed by the work they did and Kennedy says he believes their signings have taken them to the next level.
“We’ve strengthened very well in the window,” he told the club’s official website.
“We’ve brought in players who have pushed us on to another level and have helped the players we have currently. We’re happy with what we have and we are certainly looking forward.”

It will now be interesting to see if Celtic’s summer signings have taken them to another level.
The best indicator will be how they fare in the Champions League given the manner in which they have dominated in the Scottish Premiership in recent years.
Should they enjoy relative success in Europe, and their new men play a key part in that then there will be no denying that they have indeed taken them to a new level.
