Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers lost to Neil Lennon’s Celtic last month.
James Forrest scores against Rangers
Forrest scored the second goal in Celtic’s 2-1 victory over Rangers at Celtic Park in the Old Firm derby last month.
The 27-year-old right-back found the net in the 86th minute of the Scottish Premiership match.
Celtic assistant manager Kennedy has spoken highly of Forrest for the goal he scored against Rangers and seems to be in awe of the Scotland international winger.
Kennedy told The Scottish Sun about Forrest: “For the winner against Rangers . . . that’s not an easy finish. When the ball is coming across and he’s being closed down from behind, his touch and shot is first class.
“But Forrest has shown that a number of times, and it’s why he is a crucial part of our team right now.
“These personalities and characters are important, especially in big games, such as the recent Rangers match.”

Forrest is one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership and is an important player for Celtic.
