John Kennedy has revealed to a press conference that Celtic’s James Forrest could potentially start on Saturday.
The Hoops have a much-needed break from Premiership duty and will take on Falkirk in the Scottish Cup this weekend.
Forrest has been a massive player for Celtic in recent years but injury has limited him to only eight starts all season across all competitions.
But the Bhoys’ interim boss Kennedy has revealed via the club’s Twitter account that the Scotland international is in contention.
It’s been a disastrous season for Celtic for the most part, with the Parkhead club sitting 20 points behind newly-crowned Premiership champions Rangers.
Considering this was supposed to be the year that they won 10-in-a-row, to surrender the title so easily is a huge disappointment.
But the Scottish Cup represents a chance for Celtic to salvage something.
This is only the third round, so there is still a long, long way to go, but Forrest’s return is undeniably a big boost in regards to winning the competition once again.
