Kristoffer Ajer played well for Neil Lennon’s Celtic in the Old Firm derby at the weekend.

Ajer played well for Celtic in the Old Firm derby against Rangers at Celtic Park at the weekend.
During the final stages of the Scottish Premiership game, the 20-year-old central defender made a brilliant block to deny Nottingham Forest-owned Rangers central defender Joe Worrall and celebrated like he had scored a goal.
Celtic assistant manager Kennedy has revealed that the Norway international does something similar in training as well.
Kennedy told The Daily Record about Ajer: “I’ve seen him do that in training in five v fives. He sometimes gets stick for it but that’s his passion. You can see what it means to him and that’s what you want.
“That tackle shows his passion for the game and what it means to stop them scoring a goal at that vital moment. That’s what it is all about and these are the personalities you want.”

Promising talent
Ajer is a very good and promising young defender who has progressed well during his time at Celtic so far.
The Norway international can only get better in the coming years, and working with Neil Lennon is only going to help him develop.
The former Start youngster has made 16 starts and five substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Celtic so far this season, according to WhoScored.
Celtic are as many as 13 points clear of second-placed Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment.
