Rangers are reportedly close to luring Scott Arfield to Ibrox.

Former Falkirk manager John Hughes has told the Daily Record that he thinks Scott Arfield will be the best signing Rangers have ever made – but he should be heading to Celtic.
Rangers are still hunting down second place and a possible European place, but director of football Mark Allen isn’t wasting any time in his pursuit of new additions.
Sky Sports report that Rangers are close to securing a pre-contract agreement for Burnley midfielder Scott Arfield, which will see him head to Ibrox on a free transfer this summer.
The 29-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, and will make a return to Scottish football for the first time since leaving Falkirk for Huddersfield Town in 2010.
Arfield has been a regular for Burnley since signing in 2013, but after a frustrating season, the Canadian international now looks to be heading to Rangers.

Fans are already excited, but Arfield’s former Falkirk manager John Hughes has told the Daily Record that he thinks Rangers are about to make their best signing ever, as the midfielder was wanted by Crystal Palace and Wesrt Ham in January and is ‘five players in one’.
Hughes waxed lyrical about Arfield, suggesting he is a combination of Graham Dorrans, Jamie Murphy and Scott Brown, before suggesting that he is good enough to get into the Celtic team and should be heading to the other side of Glasgow.
“Crystal Palace and West Ham have been linked with Scott so if Rangers get him they’ve got an absolute beauty,” said Hughes. “He would be the best signing Rangers have ever made. He’s five players in one. Scott can play left wing, right wing, No.10, central midfield, right-back. If there’s a tight budget then it makes sense because he will cover anywhere.”
“He’s got a bit of Graham Dorrans on the ball, a wee bit of Jamie Murphy in that he can run with it and a bit of Scott Brown in terms of getting up and down. If Rangers got him it would be a coup. I’d love to have seen him go to the other side of the city. He would take on the challenge of getting into the Celtic team. He would handle playing for a club the size of Rangers. Gordon should have capped him for Scotland, 100 per cent,” he added.
