John Hendrie has revealed to LUTV what Adrian Bevington told him about Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani.

As reported by The Guardian, Radrizzani completed the purchase of a 50% stake in Leeds in January 2017.

Then in the summer, the Italian businessman took total control of the English club, as reported by The Guardian.

Former Leeds star Hendrie, 53, has revealed what Bevington told him about Leeds owner Radrizzani.

“I remember when he first took over last year,” Hendrie told LUTV about Radrizzani. “I know Adrian Bevington pretty well who used to be Head of Communications at the FA.

“I am not sure if he had something to do with the new chairman coming in, and he just said, ‘John, this guy is the real deal. He means business, and he is in it for the long run here. No gimmicks’.”

Leeds enjoyed a successful season in 2016-17, but the Whites narrowly failed to finish in the top six of the Championship.

The West Yorkshire outfit are going strong in the league at the moment and are in the running for automatic promotion.

Under head coach Thomas Christiansen, who was appointed in the role in the summer following the departure of Garry Monk, Leeds are playing wonderful football and the Elland Road faithful are hugely excited.

The Whites will return to action this evening when they take on Cardiff City at the Cardiff City Stadium in the Championship.
