The striker has been in fine form for Arsenal this season.

Speaking to talkSPORT, John Hartson has praised Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez, saying he could get into any team in Europe.

The Chilean has found himself playing a central role this season, with Arsene Wenger electing to use him as his main striker.

It has been a move that has proved to be an enormous success, with Sanchez currently sitting on 13 goals in all competitions, 11 in the Premier League.

His latest impressive display came on Saturday afternoon as he scored a superb hat-trick in the 5-1 win over West Ham United.

Fan and pundits alike have raved about his performances and now Hartson has added his praise.

“He is on fire, it’s not just his goals but his creativity,” he told talkSPORT.

“His flare, his pace, he hardly ever misses a game. He could fit into any side in Europe.”

The former Gunner has also urged Arsenal to deal with the current contract issues surrounding Sanchez.

The Chilean’s deal is set to expire in 18 months and negotiations over a new deal have been ongoing for some time.

As yet no agreement has been reached, with some suggestions that the money Sanchez is demanding is causing issues for the club.

That is of course just speculation but Hartson says they should just pay up if they want to compete.

“If you want to challenge then you need to pay what they’re financially worth,” he added.

“Arsenal need to tie Sanchez down. I know they don’t want to be held to ransom and there’s got to be a balance.”
