Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has already drawn up a list of targets for the January transfer window.

John Hartson has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on 6th December, that he hopes Brendan Rodgers will have money to spend on Celtic’s squad in the January transfer window.

Rodgers was handed funds to bring in the likes of Scott Sinclair and Moussa Dembele in the previous transfer window, and the pair have both been brilliant signings for the Glasgow side.

Hartson now wants Celtic to continue backing Rodgers with funds, especially as they will have earned so much money after competing in the Champions League.

“They’re going to get £25 million from the Champions League, so you hope Rodgers can add one or two in January or the summer,” Hartson said.

Celtic already look to have wrapped up the Scottish Premiership title, after establishing an eight point lead at the top of the table.

Hartson does not want Celtic to let up though, as he has hopes that his former side could win the treble this term.

“It’s incredible Celtic have only won three trebles,” he said. “It’s remarkable when you look at their history. They should have won more, and they have to try and scoop everything up this season.”

Rodgers has already expressed a desire to keep Celtic moving forward, and they are expected to spend money in January.

Celtic have already been linked with a host of targets, with Jordon Mutch and Ezri Konsa just two of the names linked (Daily Record).
