Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers will surely be looking to strengthen his squad in January.

Former Celtic striker John Hartson spoke exclusively to the Glasgow Evening Times, and insisted that Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers will surely be telling the club’s board that he wants to reinvest the £20 million they received for Moussa Dembele in January.
Celtic do have plenty of options, but it could be argued that Rodgers failed to sufficiently bolster his ranks at Parkhead during the summer transfer window.
The Glasgow giants currently sit in second spot in the Scottish Premiership table, three points adrift of league leaders Hearts.
They also crashed out of the Champions League, and will now be competing in the Europa League this season.
Rodgers’ need to strengthen is clear to see, and Hartson told the Glasgow Evening Times how the Celtic boss will be telling the board that he needs to reinvest the Dembele money in January:

“Having banked the guts of £20m for Mousa Demble this week, I fancy that Brendan Rodgers will be telling the board that come January he wants to re-invest that money back into the team. And I think he would be absolutely right to go and say that he earned the chance to get some real quality additions in now.”
Celtic obviously have to wait another four months until they can actually sign anyone, and Rodgers will be hoping that his side are still well in contention for the league title by the time the January window opens up.
