John Hartson and Chris Sutton could not resist taking to Twitter to comment on Jordan Jones scoring against Rangers in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday.

Jones was in a bizarre situation heading into the clash at Rugby Park having already agreed a pre-contract deal that will see him move to Ibrox in the summer.

Before his move, he will be looking to help Kilmarnock continue to upset the apple cart somewhat.

And Steve Clarke handed him the chance to prove where his loyalties lie for the time-being as he lined up against his future employers when the two sides met on Wednesday.

And in a moment that Rangers fans may argue feels like the least surprising event of the campaign, Jones – who has only scored twice in the Premiership all season – managed to beat Allan McGregor with a well-taken long-range strike to put Kilmarnock 2-1 ahead during the second-half.

And Hartson was quick to take to social media after the goal went in to praise Jones for the strike. The pundit may try and argue that he celebrated the goal due to the gap it allows Celtic to open to their Old Firm rivals, but with Kilmarnock right in the mix, that would probably be a tough point to try and make.
