John Hartson has congratulated Celtic, after their title success was confirmed today.

The Scottish Premiership has ended early, with Celtic awarded top spot.

Celtic have now won the league for nine years in a row, and Hartson sent his message of praise to the club on social media.

At the point when the league was halted, Celtic were sat 13 points clear of Rangers at the top of the table.

It seemed highly unlikely at this stage that Celtic would have been caught had the season progressed, although Rangers were hoping to get the chance to attempt to catch their rivals.

The decision will prove a controversial one, but it means that Celtic’s dominance of Scottish football has continued.

Despite increased investment Rangers have not been able to stop their Glasgow rivals, and Celtic remain on course to complete their run of 10 titles in a row.
