Leicester City-owned Filip Benkovic and James Forrest are playing well for Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic at the moment.

The former Celtic striker has been impressed with the performance of Benkovic for Brendan Rodgers’s side so far this season.
The 21-year-old central defender joined the Hoops on loan from Leicester in the summer transfer window following his move from Dinamo Zagreb to the Premier League club for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £13 million.
Hartson has been impressed with how the Croatia Under-21 international has played for the Hoops.
The former Wales international striker has also praised 27-year-old Celtic winger James Forrest for his recent performances for the Hoops.
Hartson wrote in The Glasgow Evening Times: “You have Filip Benkovic in there who looks every inch worth the £13m that Leicester paid for him this summer.
“I think he has shown already that he exudes composure and confidence at the back and alongside Dedryck Boyata, a £9m Belgian internationalist, then Celtic should have the spine of a right good central defence.”
“Forrest for me is playing out of skin at the minute and the work he does is huge for the strikers – his pace and his final ball mean he is always able to create something and any forward worth his salt should be feeding off that,” added Hartson.

Getting better
Celtic did not make a great start to the season, but the Glasgow giants’ recent form and performance have been very encouraging.
The Hoops are still the favourites to win the Scottish Premiership title this season, and the Glasgow giants are also aiming to progress to the knockout rounds of the Europa League.
