Glasgow Rangers players Joe Garner, Joe Dodoo, Matt Crooks, Rob Kiernan and Niko Kranjcar are not good enough for the Ibrox outfit, suggests John Hartson.
Former Celtic and West Ham United striker John Hartson has named five Rangers players in The Scottish Sun who are not good enough for the Ibrox outfit.
Rangers are playing in the Scottish Premiership at the moment after winning automatic promotion from the Scottish Championship at the end of last season.
The Gers are currently second in the league table with 29 points from 16 matches.
Mark Warburton’s side are eight points behind leaders and Old Firm rivals Celtic, who have three games in hand.
Former Celtic striker Hartson has suggested that Joe Garner, Joe Dodoo, Matt Crooks, Rob Kiernan and Niko Kranjcar are not good enough to play for Rangers.
“You look at lads like Joe Garner, Joe Dodoo, Matt Crooks and Rob Kiernan and wonder what they’re doing at a massive club like Rangers,” Hartson wrote in the Scottish Sun.
“Niko Kranjcar was brought in but everyone could see his best days were behind him. He was unfortunate to suffer a bad knee injury — which was hardly Warburton’s fault — but his legs were already gone.”
Rangers will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Heart of Midlothian at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership.
Hearts are fourth in the table at the moment with 27 points from 16 matches. The Gers will head into the match on the back of a 2-1 victory over Aberdeen at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers should be confident of picking up all three points from the game against Hearts on Saturday afternoon.
