Celtic returned to winning ways in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon as they beat Kilmarnock 2-0 at Parkhead.

The Bhoys have been disappointing in domestic action of late, and fans were hoping for something of a turnaround after beating Lille 3-2 on Thursday night.

At half time, Celtic were stuck at 0-0 and in need of a spark – which Mohamed Elyounoussi provided as he put Neil Lennon’s side ahead.

Shane Duffy added a second to give Celtic all three points, and hand beleaguered boss Lennon something of a respite from the huge pressure he’s been facing of late.

Celtic remain 13 points behind Rangers in the title race, but today’s win is the boost they needed, with two wins in a row in all competitions to try and kick on again.

Pundit and ex-Celtic striker John Hartson has taken to Twitter to react, noting that the Bhoys dominated the game and picked out Ismaila Soro for praise.

The Ivorian started in midfield after impressing against Lille, and Hartson feels he was a key part of a good win today.

Hartson did though note that he doesn’t think playing Kristoffer Ajer at right back was the right call from Lennon, instead feeling that Jeremie Frimpong – who played on the right wing – should have been there, with Ryan Christie on the right flank instead.
