The Swansea fan is clearly happy with the signing of Williams to Swansea’s coaching staff.

Swansea City added to their coaching staff this week with a move for Paul Williams. Swansea have been looking for a new assistant manager since they replaced Francesco Guidolin with American Bob Bradley.

Williams, who most recently worked at Nottingham Forest, was Bradley’s choice for the role and will help him and Alan Curtis in trying to fight off relegation from the Premier League for the remainder of the campaign.

It is an appointment that has been well received in South Wales, with one famous Swansea City fan particularly chuffed.

John Hartson never played for the club but was born in the city and is clearly keeping track of his hometown club this season.

Hartson played with Williams at Coventry City and had this to say on Twitter about his appointment this week:

Williams, who has experience coaching at Brentford and Nottingham Forest will no doubt add to the English football knowledge at Swansea. He also managed and played in Bradley’s American homeland, with the Richmond Kickers and Fredericksburg Gunners respectively.

Hopefully the pair can help lead Swansea out of their current rut and up the Premier League table.
