Caixinha has left Rangers less than 24 hours after their 1-1 draw against Kilmarnock at Ibrox.

John Hartson has reacted on Twitter to Rangers’ sacking of Pedro Caixinha after just seven months at Ibrox.
Caixinha’s fate was sealed on Thursday afternoon, less than 24 hours after Rangers’ 1-1 draw at home to Kilmarnock – in which Gers winger Daniel Candeias missed penalty while his side were 1-0 up in second-half added time.
The result left Rangers fourth in the Premiership standings, despite a heavy summer recruitment drive which saw 11 players added to last season’s third-placed team – at a cost of almost £9 million.

Having continued to struggle in big games with Caixinha in charge – Sunday’s League Cup semi-final defeat against Motherwell being the latest – few Rangers fans will be sad to see him go.
However the same cannot be said of those of a Celtic persuasion, as summed up by Hartson, a former striker with the Bhoys.
“Pedro Caixinha sacked.. shame he was doing great for Celtic”, he posted.
Hartson’s one-time strike partner, Chris Sutton, had earlier predicted Caixinha’s fate when reports of an emergency Rangers board meeting surfaced.
And Sutton was predictably quick to say his piece, tweeting: “Pedros caravan has been moved on… He’s gone…”
