Sinclair failed to replicate his excellent Celtic form of 2016-17, last season.

Celtic icon John Hartson has claimed in his Glasgow Evening Times column that he believes Scott Sinclair will remain in Glasgow for another season, but could then leave the club next summer.
Sinclair has been linked with a move back down south, with the Scottish Sun claiming back in March that the 29-year-old fancies another shot at Premier League football.

That is after what is perceived to be a disappointing 2017-18 season for the former Manchester City star, despite scoring 18 goals and laying on 17 assists – helping the Hoops win a treble.

He failed to hit the heights of 2016-17, though, where he managed to win the club’s Player of the Season award after finding the back of the net 25 times. Hartson reckons he could leave the Hoops next summer.
“I’ve heard a few people wonder if the winger would maybe look for a return down south this summer but I think that he will remain at Celtic for at least another season,” Hartson said.
“I don’t think he had a poor campaign last year as some have suggested. He didn’t play as well as he did in his first campaign but I think Brendan is very loyal to him having worked with him before and he will know how to get the best out of him again.”

Sinclair joined Celtic in the summer of 2016 after a summer-long battle that saw Rodgers finally lure him north of the border from Aston Villa. He has two years remaining on a contract worth £25,000 a week (Daily Star).
The Hoops are expected to add to their options out wide this summer, after losing Patrick Roberts and Charly Musonda to Manchester City and Chelsea following the expiration of their loan deals.
It leaves Rodgers with just Sinclair, James Forrest and forgotten man Jonny Hayes to choose from, after the latter continues to recover from a serious leg break.
