Timothy Weah joined Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic on loan from Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window.

Weah joined Celtic on loan from French giants Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window.
Immediate impact
The 18-year-old striker has made an impact at the Hoops and has already been among the goals for Brendan Rodgers’s team.
According to WhoScored, the USA international has made two starts and three substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for the Glasgow giants so far this season, scoring two goals in the process.
Patrick Roberts-esque loan deal?
Former Celtic striker Hartson has suggested that the Glasgow giants should try to extend Weah’s loan deal beyond the summer of 2019, and strike a deal similar to the one with Patrick Roberts.

Roberts joined Celtic on loan from Manchester City in January 2016 on an 18-month loan deal, and the 22-year-old winger – now on loan at Girona – returned to the Hoops for the 2017-18 campaign as well.
John Hartson’s suggestion
Hartston told The Sunday Post: “There is clearly a good working relationship between Celtic and PSG.
“If that can help get Timothy for another 12 months beyond this summer, then the club should be doing everything it can to get it over the line, similar to what happened with Patrick Roberts from Manchester City two or three seasons ago.”
