Celtic ran out 1-0 winners over Rangers in the Scottish League cup semi-final on Sunday.

Speaking on BT Sport’s coverage of Celtic versus Rangers Scottish League cup semi-final clash, John Hartson has claimed Matt Gilks saved Rangers from another 5-1 defeat.
The two sides met at Hampden Park on Saturday afternoon looking to secure a place in the final against Aberdeen.
It proved to be something of a mismatch between the two sides, with Celtic dominating for large periods and registering a massive 24 shots at goal.

The scoreline was kept at 1-0 by the performance of goalkeeper Gilks, though, with him making a number of important saves to keep his side in the game until the 87th minute.
And Hartson has praised his display, saying he saved his side from another 5-1 Old Firm derby defeat.
“Let’s get it right, it was one-way traffic,” he told BT Sport.
“If it wasn’t for Matt Gilks Rangers could have been staring at another 5-1 defeat today. Celtic were dominant. I can think of four or five goalscoring saves he’s made.”

The late victory continues Celtic’s strong turnaround under Brendan Rodgers, with them also currently top of the Scottish Premiership and into the group stages of the Champions League.
The final against Aberdeen will be their first chance of silverware under the Northern Irishman and in their current form, not many will bet against the Bhoys.
Rangers meanwhile will have to turn their attention back to the league, with them currently fifth in the table and seven points behind their rivals.
