Hartson now feels that Rodgers missed a trick, and the Australian should have been given a starting role in the match.
The former Bhoys striker said: “You could argue Rogic [should have played]. He could have come on and maybe got Celtic up the field.”
Celtic were largely outplayed by Bayern last night, as was expected before the match.
The German side, rejuvenated by the appointment of Jump Heynckes, consistently troubled the Bhoys’ backline.
Bayern scored their goals through Thomas Muller, Joshua Kimmich and Mats Hummels, as they picked up a comfortable victory.
