Celtic seem to be closing in on the £1.3m winger soon.

John Hartson has told The Scotsman that Celtic are making the right choice by signing Jonny Hayes.
Aberdeen accepted a £1.3 million bid from Celtic for the Irish winger, according to The Sun.
The 29-year-old managed nine goals and 12 assists in the Scottish Premiership this past season – and his statistics should, in theory, improve at Parkhead given that he will be surrounded by a lot better attacking players.

It remains to be seen whether or not Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers can bring back Patrick Roberts, who helped the Glasgow giants to a domestic treble last term, before returning to parent club Manchester City following an 18-month loan spell.
Nevertheless, Celtic legend Hartson believes that Hayes is of a similar ilk, claiming that the Dons attacker would certainly bring the Bhoys on another level.
“He is a player of quality. It looks like Pat Roberts is down the road and he is a great little player,” he told The Scotsman.

“But Hayes is a similar player in that he excites supporters. He has great delivery, he can go past a player, he can score a goal.
“When you get a chance to go to Celtic, the treble winners, it is very difficult for a club like Aberdeen to keep him. But certainly he is a player who can improve any team.”
Celtic finished a whopping 30 points ahead of second-placed Aberdeen last term. Rodgers and co appear to be a million miles ahead of anybody else in Scotland at the minute, and Hayes’s would-be arrival would certainly help consolidate their lion-like status in the Premiership.
