Newcastle United are currently in 13th place in the Premier League table.

John Barnes has told HITC, speaking on behalf of Bonus Code Bets, that he believes Newcastle United will survive in the Premier League this season.
Newcastle beat Manchester United 1-0 last weekend to move up into 13th place in the top flight table, but they are far from clear of danger.
The Magpies are still only two points away from the drop zone, with a huge number of teams looking to be embroiled in the relegation battle.
But Barnes feels that his former side will have enough quality to get out of trouble.

“I think so. At home they will win enough matches,” Barnes said. “They have enough quality to create chances and score goals. I’m confident they’ll survive.”
Newcastle’s victory over Manchester United was highly impressive, with a number of players’ performances standing out.
Jonjo Shelvey took the Man of the Match award, but his midfield partner, Mohamed Diame, was equally as impressive.
Diame really has stepped up at St. James’ Park of late, and Barnes has praised the powerful midfielder for his turn around.

“He’s always been a good player,” the former England international added.
“I remember him at Hull. He just needs to be in the right environment to suit him.
“He’s a strong midfield player who is good on the ball. He can defend and attack. His attitude has been questioned, but he’s now showing the right mentality.”
Newcastle’s next match comes against fellow strugglers Bournemouth in two weekends’ time, and a victory would be a huge boost to Benitez’s chances of survival.
