Barnes was reminded of Carragher’s comments and he then stated that whilst Mane has been ‘absolutely sensational’, Roberto Firmino is still the player for him.
“He’ll definitely be slimmer than me, I know that,” Barnes told TalkSport. “He has been fantastic.
“As we saw with Fernando Torres and Luis Suarez, if they stay there over a period of time, you can compare any of them to any great player of the past.
“For the time he has been here, he has been absolutely sensational. All three of them upfront. Salah has been great as well. But, for me, Firmino is still my favourite player because he knits it all together.”
