Liverpool star Roberto Firmino made a telling impact in the Super Cup.

Roberto Firmino made an immediate impact in the European Super Cup against Chelsea.
With the Reds a goal down to an Olivier Giroud opener, Firmino was brought on for the disappointing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Within two minutes he had created a goal, providing an assist for Sadio Mane to score.
The pair repeated the combination in extra-time for Mane’s second strike.
Former Reds ace John Arne Riise was impressed, lauding Firmino as ‘phenomenal’. Not many Liverpool fans would disagree.
Liverpool might wonder why they did not put Firmino on from the start, but to take a positive perspective, he at least got a bit of rest.
It’s important to remember he did not have a full pre-season due to his Copa America involvement.
Even if he is not quite at 100 per cent, Firmino clearly has the quality to make up for that.
He needs to start at the weekend in the Premier League when Liverpool visit Southampton.
