John Arne Riise says Daniel Sturridge could prove him wrong.
Former Liverpool defender and club hero John Arne Riise had advised Daniel Sturridge to leave the Reds in search of first team actions on Twitter last month.
Sturridge is one of the high earners at the club, but his recurrent injuries have made it difficult for Jurgen Klopp to get the best out of him.
However, Sturridge has returned to pre-season training and he looks in very good shape. And Riise seems to be impressed with that.

He tweeted that Sturridge might prove him wrong this season, and admits that he would be happy if the former Chelsea striker does so.
When fit and firing, Sturridge is a class apart, but the major problem with him is that he hardly remains fit, throughout the season.
Newcastle United have shown an interest in the striker this summer, with the Chronicle reporting last month that the Magpies had been offered the chance to sign the 27-year-old.
This is probably Sturridge’s last chance to impress his manager, and the best way he can do is by keeping himself injury-free throughout the campaign.
