John Aldridge has sent a message to Manchester City fans on Twitter on behalf of Liverpool supporters.
The former Liverpool striker has said that he is delighted that City are still the best team in Manchester ahead of Manchester United.
Aldridge has also mocked the Citizens for losing to French club Lyon in the Champions League on Saturday evening.
Pep Guardiola’s side suffered a 3-1 loss at the hands of the Ligue 1 outfit in the quarter-finals of Europe’s premier club competition.
Disappointing result
City headed into the match against Lyon as favourites, but the Citizens could not get the job done.
Lyon took their chances, while Raheem Sterling missed a very good one and there was an error from goalkeeper Ederson.
The Citizens will be disappointed with their performance and result, and now they need to look forward to next season.

Liverpool were head and shoulders above the rest of the teams in the Premier League this past season, and Jurgen Klopp’s side will be confident of making it back-to-back title triumphs in 2020-21.
Meanwhile, former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has praised Moussa Dembele on Twitter for his two goals against City.
