John Aldridge has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Liverpool’s win against Leeds United.
Liverpool got the better of Leeds 4-3 at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Promoted club Leeds gave the defending Premier League champions a run for their money and came thrice from behind.
The Whites would have picked up a point from the encounter had they not conceded a late penalty.
Former Liverpool striker Aldridge was following the match, and he was impressed with forward Mohamed Salah scoring a hat-trick, and with Leeds having a “proper go” at the Merseyside club.
Very entertaining game
Liverpool against Leeds was expected to be a highscoring and entertaining game, and it proved to be so.
The Reds were not at their best, and although the Whites were superb, they should be doing better defensively and also need to manage games better.
However, at the end of the day, Liverpool got the job done and picked up all three points from the encounter, as they kicked off the defence of their title on a positive note.
