Liverpool’s win against Tottenham Hotspur means that they are two points clear of Manchester City.

John Aldridge has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Liverpool’s win against Tottenham Hotspur at home at the weekend.

Liverpool got the better of Tottenham 2-1 at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

Roberto Firmino put the Reds in the lead after just 16 minutes, and Lucas Moura restored parity for Spurs on 70 minutes.

An own goal from Toby Alderweireld saw Liverpool pick up all three points from the encounter.

The result means that Jurgen Klopp’s side are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 79 points from 32 matches.

Liverpool are two points clear of second-placed Manchester City, who have a game in hand and are the defending Premier League champions.

Aldridge was following the match on Sunday evening, and the former Liverpool striker has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the win for the Reds by making a humorous speculation on how City manager Pep Guardiola will have reacted to the Reds’ late winner against Tottenham.
