Reported Leeds United target Harry Wilson was in action last night, as the winger turned out for Liverpool against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup.
Wilson started for Liverpool in the Carabao Cup fourth-round tie against Premier League rivals Arsenal at Anfield on Thursday evening.
The 23-year-old played for the entire 90 minutes, and manager Jurgen Klopp was really impressed with his performance despite his side losing the tie on penalties.
According to a report in Goal.com on October 1, Leeds are among a number of clubs who are interested in signing Wilson from Premier League rivals Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
Klopp told Liverpool’s official website: “Harry Wilson, my God, played in centre-mid more or less in position No.8, defended well and I saw his football skills as well.”
Stats
According to WhoScored, Wilson played five key passes, had a pass accuracy of 82.1%, won one header, took 55 touches, made one interception, and put in five crosses.
Good signing for Leeds United?
According to The Daily Mail, Leeds are ‘intent’ on signing a winger before the summer transfer window closes this month.
Wilson is a very good player who is also a Wales international, and given that he is 23 years of age, he will improve and get better in the coming years.
Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa is known for improving young players, and the 23-year-old would be a smart signing for the Whites, not just for now, but for the future as well.
