John Aldridge has claimed in The Sunday World that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been carrying the team this season.
The former Liverpool star made the comments while analysing the best players in the Premier League so far this campaign.
While stating Kane who has been brilliant this campaign, Aldridge said that the 27-year-old has been carrying Spurs for much of the season.
Aldridge wrote in The Sunday World: “Harry Kane has been brilliant for Tottenham and he has carried them for much of this season, but he has also been out for periods with injuries.”
Key player for Tottenham Hotspur
That Kane is the best and most important player in the current Tottenham set-up has long been established.
The 27-year-old scores goals, creates chances, provides assists, and even helps out defensively.

The England international has evolved into an all-round player who gives more than goals to the team.
While it would be a bit harsh to suggest that Spurs are a one-man team, the importance of a fit Kane in head coach Jose Mourinho’s side simply cannot be undermined.
According to WhoScored, the Englishman has scored 17 goals and provided 13 assists in the Premier League and scored three goals and gave two assists in the Europa League for Spurs this season.
