Alfredo Morelos is an important player for Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers, while Filip Helander moved to Ibrox in the summer.
Alfredo Morelos of Rangers
The former Celtic and Sweden international central defender raved about Morelos and highlighted the qualities of the Rangers striker, but he does not seem to think that the Colombia international is a natural goalscorer – quite a bold claim indeed given the 23-year-old’s record for the Gers.
Stats
According to WhoScored, the youngster has scored five goals in seven Scottish Premiership appearances and eight goals in eight Europa League matches incline qualifiers for Rangers so far this season.
During the 2018-19 campaign, Morelos scored 18 goals and provided eight assists in 30 league games, while in 2017-18, he found the net 14 times and provided six assists in the league, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

Praise for Filip Helander
Mjallby – who won the Scottish league title thrice, and the Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Cup twice each with the Hoops – also praised Rangers central defender and his Swedish compatriot Filip Helander.
The 26-year-old Sweden international centre-back joined Rangers from Italian club Bologna in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by The Scottish Sun to be worth £3.5 million.
Johan Mjallby comments
Mjallby said about Morelos on BT Sport 3 (5:35pm, October 3, 2019): “He is very mobile. He is obviously a good goalscorer even if he is not a natural goalscorer. He works his socks off.
“He seems to control his temper a little bit more. He is so lively, and he has got so much energy. When he is on song, he is a very vital player.”
Mjallby said about Helander on BT Sport 3 (5:24pm, October 3, 2019): “I think he will be a good signing. I think he has got experience, he knows how to defend in his own penalty box.”
