Djourou looked to be Sheffield Wednesday bound last August.

Johan Djourou could be on the move again, less than a year after snubbing Sheffield Wednesday to sign for Antalyaspor.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Switzerland international has reached an agreement to join SPAL, who will compete for a second successive campaign in Italy’s Serie A.
It follows the early termination of Djourou’s contract in Turkey, where reports claimed he had not been paid for several months.
Sheffield Wednesday, meanwhile, remain on the lookout for a new central defender, having seen Djourou alternative Frederico Venancio sign for Vitoria Guimaraes at the end of his Hillsborough loan spell.

The Owls have spent much of the summer window cutting costs in a bid to stay Financial Fair Play compliant, providing Jack Lee and Frederik Nielsen with early opportunities to impress in pre-season.
Djourou, who played for Switzerland at the 2018 World Cup, is reported to have agreed a deal to join Wednesday last August before experiencing a change of heart – a warning, perhaps, to SPAL.
