Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers got their Europa League campaign off to a great start on Thursday.

Rangers have been slammed for their performance in the Europa League in midweek.
Steven Gerrard’s side got their group stage campaign off to a great start by beating Feyenoord 1-0 at Ibrox on Thursday, courtesy of Sheyi Ojo’s winner.
But the style of Rangers’ display has been criticised by a Dutch TV pundit by the name of Johan Derksen.
The 70-year-old former player described the Gers as ‘hopeless’ and as a team who ‘can’t play football’.
He said via The Record: “Feyenoord were hopeless, but the sad thing was Rangers were hopeless too.
“The atmosphere at Ibrox was very intimidating and Feyenoord allowed themselves to be scared of the atmosphere. If you can’t deal with pressure then you have no chance against Rangers. Feyenoord were overwhelmed physically. Rangers can’t play football, but they are physical.”
It’s a pretty harsh assessment on Rangers, who can play football.
In fact, the result could and probably should have been a lot more comfortable for Gerrard’s side, who missed their fair share of chances in the 90 minutes.
There’s more than an element of sour grapes from Derksen here and the Ibrox outfit will be out for blood in the return fixture in Rotterdam later in the campaign.
