The young French defender took to Twitter to thanks fans.
Blackburn’s Tre Pemberton in action with Aston Villa’s Johan Abdoul
Aston Villa teenager Johan Abdoul has expressed his gratitude to the club and their fans as he leaves on a free transfer this summer.
The 18-year-old has taken to Twitter to share this message with the Aston Villa faithful, as he prepares for the next stage in his footballing career:
This was simply a confirmation of goodbye from the French teen however, as it was already well known he was on his way out of Villa Park.
In conversation with French TV channel SFR Sport last month the 18-year-old talent confirmed he would be leaving Villa when his contract with the club expires in the summer.
The talented teen, who can play at centre-back or operate as a left-back, is considered a hot prospect so his departure may come as something of a surprise.
General view of Villa Park
He joined Villa in July 2015 from AC Boulogne-Billancourt with the hope of becoming a success in the Midlands but he has decided his career would be better served if he headed elsewhere.
This season he has played seven times in Premier League 2 and once in the FA Youth Cup, scoring in a 2-1 defeat against Manchester City’s young guns.
Aston Villa fans will no doubt wish him all the best and hope his departure does not come back to haunt them.
