Rangers’ Joey Barton looks dejected
Joey Barton has suggested to Sky Sports News HQ (interview broadcast at 09:54am, Monday, September 19, 2016) that he is still a Rangers player.
Barton held talks with Rangers manager Mark Warburton at Ibrox this morning, as reported by Sky Sports News HQ.
When asked after the meeting if he is still a Rangers player, the former Newcastle United midfielder simply said: “I think so.”

As Barton told talkSPORT last week, he was asked by Warburton to return to Rangers today after a training ground bust-up.
The English midfielder exchanged words with Rangers teammate Andy Halliday during a training session last Tuesday.
Rangers have yet to issue any statement on the matter, and it will be interesting to see if the Gers make any announcement today.

Barton joined the Glasgow giants in the summer transfer window after leaving English club Burnley at the end of the 2015-16 season.
Much was expected of the former Queens Park Rangers midfielder, but he has yet to make a massive impact at Ibrox.
The 34-year-old was involved in Rangers’ 5-1 hammering by Old Firm rivals Celtic away from home at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership earlier this month.
