Joey Barton was controversially turfed out of Ibrox after just a few months despite a headline grabbing move to Glasgow Rangers.

Joey Barton’s Glasgow Rangers career ended in disaster as his contract at Ibrox was terminated after just a handful of appearances.
His last game was a 5-1 loss to rivals Celtic and the fallout led to him being suspended by Rangers before all parties decided to move on.
This was a year ago, and Barton went on to sign with Burnley after his Rangers contract had been cancelled.

Barton’s return to Turf Moor went well enough, before he was hit with a ban for betting on football games, none of which involved matches he played.
He is not eligible to play until his ban ends in June.
Despite this, Barton believes his Rangers exit worked out well, even though he has regret about the circumstances.
Barton went onto say that he intends to carry on playing when his ban ends, even though he will turn 36 next September.
He had one last parting shot for Celtic supporters, calling them ‘obsessed’, having put up with abusive messages from fans over his Rangers spell.
