Everton are looking for a new manager to replace Ronald Koeman.

Joey Barton has taken to Twitter to give his thoughts on the ongoing speculation linking Carlo Ancelotti with the vacant manager’s position at Everton.
The Toffees are looking for a new boss following Ronald Koeman’s dismissal but Barton does not feel the Italian would be the right fit at this stage of his career.

“Not the right man for the job,” the midfielder said when asked about Ancelotti to Everton. “Used to managing top players at top end of the table; not a dog fight with struggling players. So no for me.”
Everton’s summer business looked like pushing them to the next level this season, but their failure to replace former top-scorer Romelu Lukaku was a massive blow, while some of their new additions have flattered to deceive thus far.

Even returning son Wayne Rooney has come in for plenty of criticism, despite finding the net regularly and looking like one of the few attackers able to offer something to this under-performing Everton team.
With Koeman gone, David Unsworth is in temporary charge as he attempts to turn things round at Goodison Park. But it will be down to another man to take them by the scruff of the neck for the long haul.
It remains to be seen who that manager is, however Barton for one feels that Ancelotti – who may have always been out of reach anyway – would not be the right choice.
