Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers held Old Firm rivals Celtic to a draw at Parkhead.

Rangers held Celtic to a 0-0 draw at Parkhead today.
Celtic were big favourites to get the win and move 14 points clear of Rangers, but Grame Murty’s side produced a spirited display to leave the green side of Glasgow with a point.
The Gers’ pre-match planning was thrown into disarray after just 18 minutes when veteran centre-back Bruno Alves fell injured and was replaced by David Bates.

The young Rangers man performed admirably in a game which the Ibrox side could have won, if not for missed chances from Alfredo Morelos.
By the same token, the Hoops also missed their fair share of gilt-edged opportunities, and former Gers midfielder Joey Barton believes it was a fair result.

Rangers have shown definite improvement under Murty, who has won seven, drawn one and lost four of his 12 Premiership games in charge.
And this result will only reaffirm suggestions that the Gers’ hierarchy were right to give him the job until the end of the season, while they continue to hunt a long-term replacement for Pedro Caixinha.
