Javier Hernandez joined West Ham United from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer transfer window.

Hernandez has joined Premier League club West Ham from German outfit Bayer Leverkusen in the summer transfer window.

According to BBC Sport, the Hammers had to pay Bayer a transfer fee of £16 million in order to secure the services of the former Manchester United striker.
The Mexico international star failed to score against his former club United at Old Trafford on the opening weekend of the 2017-18 Premier League campaign.
The 29-year-old striker, though, scored twice for the Hammers in their 3-2 defeat to Southampton away from home at St. Mary’s Stadium in the league at the weekend.

Former Newcastle and Manchester City midfielder Barton has praised Hernandez, making the observation that the West Ham striker is always on the move inside the penalty box.
“He is always on the move in the box, he never ever stands still,” said Barton about Hernandez on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (broadcast from 6am, August 21, 2017). “Great strikers always move.”
